History: Heather was born in Ireland to her unwed mother. Her birth was traumatic - kicked out of her home by her strict Catholic family, Heather's mother surprisingly found no one willing to help her for her town was very small and far away from any major cities where the young woman might have found help. So she retreated to the Irish moors. For some reason the animals there seemed willing to help her.
So it came to pass that Heather was born out there in the wild. Wild moor ponies and rabbits serving as mid-wifes of a kind and when Heather's mother wasn't looking, a wet-nurse.
When Heather was 2 years old her father finally returned to this tiny town. He had been a mutant himself and had no idea that the woman he had dallied with was pregnant when he left. The young American heard tales of a wild woman and her animal-like child wandering the moors. He right away felt compelled to search them out. What he found though was that the woman who had bore his only child was dying of TB. Though he took her to the hospital it was too late and she died.
After extensive court-battles the man, Micheal O'Keef, was allowed to take Heather back to America with him. He called her his little fae child because of how she seemed to live a charmed life. What he didn't know what that his mutant girl was able to talk to plants and animals, therefore always pre-warned of danger.
Michael died when Heather was 21 when a drunk driver hit him. Heather grieved for now she was parentless. Having made money as a singer and piano player, Heather was able to establish a life for herself. But still to this day she wonders if she wasn't meant for more.
